Help with Avast 5 and Windows Live Mail

Hello! I want to know if I can configure Avast Internet Security to scan my incoming and outgoing emails of Windows Live Mail

Which makes perfectly with Outlook, but this program is very slow and I hate! :-X

Windows Live Mail uses a particular protocol of communication that cannot be scanned by avast (I think).

The http (internet) traffic could be scanned by WebShield.

But, Outlook and Windows Live Mail use the same “DeltaSync” ; it is illogical that if Avast can scan Outlook, but Windows Live Mail not

It isn’t illogical, as avast has a plug-in within the Outlook client, so the AV is effectively operating from within MS Outlook and not from outside Windows Live Mail and as such can’t/doesn’t understand the proprietary “DeltaSync” protocol.

I have been using Windows Live Mail for a While and Avast 5 checks incoming and outgoing e-mail without problems… I use pop in all my accounts.

When I set Avast 5 to tell me if it checked my e-mail it writes the msge. that has been scanned by Avast.

Is Avast checking my windows live mail or not?

It shows if mail is scanned under shields>mail shield, last mail scanned
