That has me completely baffled as clicking the avastlic file should automatically insert it into Avast
Tell me about it. I have no idea what went wrong with it. Plus not sure why it appears I have a different licence and customer number with the same email. Have got a reply from level 2 support emailed them my original licence see if this helps solve the puzzle. I will need to renew my licence in a few weeks, but not sure I should do until this whole mess is sorted.
Managed to solve the problem with the help of avast support.
Copied the licence file from the avast folder on the desktop,the one that worked, and transfered it to the laptop.
