Note: Once that’s done, please make sure that if either of those programs has any sort of web filter, that you add the following as a trusted site: data-cdn.mbamupdates.com
I found the exclusions page under file system shields page, I just do not know how to enter those malwarebytes files ! Thank You
I don’t really see any reason to do so. You may want to exclude files being created by those processes (somewhere, no idea where), but by putting those files to the list of exclusions you only prevent these very files from being scanned, which isn’t very useful.
Yes, and in addition I’ve run Mbam Pro/premium and Avast together for some years and have never used exclusions for either with no problems.
I realize some have felt the need to do so.
Pondus, went to given link neither video worked ! Thank You
igor, first let me thank you for your effort to help, thank you ! However I am just trying to do what a tech at malwarebytes told me to do. I do not know if it should be done or not. If not why do they have a exclusions list and why am I being to to do
this ?
I have been fighting problems with malware/virus for several weeks now. Sometimes up to 6 outbound IPs in a row being blocked,of websites I have never been to, mostly peer to peer. I do not do peer to peer. Computer slowed to a crawl at best. However after all the scans and time wasted nothing was found ! Spent several days back and forth with malware techs. At least they tried to help, as I have reached out numerous times to avast on the forum and then to emails/tickets. Both these are the paid versions. When my time is up I will move on.
So I done a clean install and moved from vista to windows seven. Just trying to prevent anything like that again. I am so disgusted with the whole suppot system I could scream and have, no help. I think people sometimes forget not everyone grew up using computers and it is a struggle to understand acronyms and instructions that may be very simple to the person giving them, but totally foreign to others.
This is why I paid for the virus/malware service, the support, not lack of ! Thanks
