Help with PC Cleaner Pro

I downloaded this program about a month ago to try to uninstall a program , I know dumb, usually I stay away from software like this. Anyways, after I was done I uninstalled it, no problems. Deleted any folders I could find, manually checked the registry not a sign of it anywhere. However when I use Belarc Advisor it shows 2 anti virus programs, Avast and PC Cleaner Pro.

I’ve scanned with Avast and Malwarebytes.
Did a registry search.
Tried Sysinternals Process Explorer and Registry Scanner.
Tried Ccleaner.
Tried Appremover.
Tried adwcleaner

Nothing. No sign of it anywhere. I think I even looked in the prefetch files.

I think its a uninst.exe file.

Anyone know how I can find and get rid of this.

Thanks.

hey you could try revo uninstaller that is recommended from this thread on Microsoft

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-performance/how-do-i-remove-pc-cleaner-pro-2012/f6ace5cf-3b86-477a-8288-95faba6eb369.

attach a OTL diagnostic log… then a removal expert may be able to remove any leftover files for you

It shows I have the 2 logs attached but I can’t post them, it says message body is empty.

Ignore, it worked.

I have Revo uninstaller, however PC Cleaner Pro does not show in installed programs, as I mentioned I think its just a pesky file hidden somewhere.

Thanks.

Hi I agree it is probably a hidden registry key, it does not show as active anywhere in the logs

Thanks Essex boy, so any way to find it? Computer works fine but would like to get rid of it if possible.

Lets check the registry out

Hi, tried it and report said no data found, guess I’ll have to live with it…Thanks.

In that case it may be just data held in windows security centre
