Help with reddie.net/blackfight.info alerts hidden in svchost

Hi all,

I’m totally stuck with the problem of getting constant Avast security warnings that Avast has blocked access to reddie.net/blackfight.info etc on each re-boot or staring the pc from sleep, or connecting to the internet and its driving me mad - argghhhhh.

Have run deep scan with Avast and run Malwarebytes and nothing can pick it out. There seems to be no standard clean up for this on the web - and I can normally sort these things out myself - but guys I am stuck.

Please can anyone help me out ?

Thanks kindly

Attach your basic diagnostic logs. (MBAM, FRST and aswMBR)

Thanks - are these the files you need ?

Yes, now you’ve to wait a bit…

Thanks

This Log file is an export - rather than just changing the file extension of the xml file - Ha

Let me know if this stops it

Wow that was a clean !
Have lost the Pokki windows start menu - but that’s no biggie - apart from that Avast not reporting any issues which is great

Thanks !!!

Unfortunately Poki is a little bit on the tracking/bad side. http://www.shouldiremoveit.com/Pokki-5024-program.aspx

A nice free alternative is classic shell http://www.classicshell.net/

Subject to no further problems

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean

Malwarebytes.

Update and run weekly to keep your system clean

Unchecky

Click on the link above to be taken to Unchecky.com
click the very large Download button.
click Save
Click Open folder
Right click on the Unchecky_setup and choose to Run as Administrator
Once open click the Install button.
Then click on Finish
Unchecky is now installed and will help you keep unwanted check boxes unchecked, this is a fire and forget programme

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system and to keep them updated.

Thanks for that - yeh agree Pokki processes kept cropping up in places where I wasn’t expecting or comfortable with - will look into an alternative when I get a minute.

I’ll run these other bits tomorrow to clean up.

Essexboy and the team on the forum you do a brilliant job - it’s what the proper internet used to be all about communities helping each other. Big big thanks !
