Help with Small Office Admin

Hi, I was having problems identical to that of HomeNet in this thread: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=99949.0

When the new version came out yesterday, I uninstalled the old version, rebooted, then reinstalled the new version and rebooted again.

The Update Server Definitions job always fails and the unattended install always fails with the error: The system cannot find the file specified [2].

What can I do? Thanks.

try do update from command prompt and run the mirror.exe and you will found the error why you can’t do the update

I tried to run mirror.exe from a command prompt this morning and it would not run because it was already running. I logged into the console and saw that the update server definitions job was stuck on 1% since 1:15am this morning.

I resorted to ended the process through task manager and was able to run it from the command prompt. I didn’t see any errors. It seems to have finished successfully. But in the console it shows that it was last updated in 1969 and the job still shows it is stuck at 1% since 1:15am this morning…

Rebooted the server after running mirror.exe manually and all seems well now.

The update server definitions job is now successful and I have deployed to a few clients without any problems.

Thanks.
