Help! wuaudit.exe in my system too!

It’s a few day that I have often pop-ups with the info that avast has blocked a trojan that’s in my system in the directory: C:\Users\Raul\AppData\Local\Temp\iswizard\wuaudit.exe
I see that other people here have the same problem. I ran the Malwarebytes Anti-rootkit and it found the trojan, but after I complete the cleanup and reboot I run the softwre again and it find it again. I did it three times but it always shows. Can you help me to eliminate it?
Thanks very much

follow guide and attach logs…not copy and paste. http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0

run in the orderlisted
AdwCleaner / Malwarebytes / OTL / aswMBR

I just re-ran MBAM (that I ran yesterday with no success) and I cleaned the two file sit found. Then I ran again MB anti-rootkit and this time it found nothing wrong. How can I be sure the problem is gone? Must I still do the whole procedure of the lined page and upload the logs?
Thanks

removers can not help if you dont attach the requested logs…

Ok, the avast trojan warning shows again so it’s not eliminated so I proceeded with the logs, here are the first two:

here are the OTL logs, I have problems with the aswMBR log because the app crash and don’t complete its goal

your Malwarebytes was not updated when you did the scan
update run quick scan…no need to attach new log if nothing is detected

also attach aswMBR log

Let me know if this kills it

Warning This fix is only relevant for this system and no other, using on another computer may cause problems

Be advised that when the fix commences it will shut down all running processes and you may lose the desktop and icons, they will return on reboot

Run OTL

[*]Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste in the following

:OTL

:Files
C:\Users\Raul\AppData\Local\Temp\iswizard

:Commands

[emptytemp]
[Reboot]

[*]Then click the Run Fix button at the top
[*]Let the program run unhindered, reboot the PC when it is done
[*]Open OTL again and click the Quick Scan button. Post the log it produces in your next reply.

Here is the new mbam log (after updating it), aswMBR still crashes so I cannot have the log. Do I proceed as advised by essexboy?

Yes follow my fix please

I run your fix and then the scan again (as per directions on the linked page above) and here is the new OTL log (this time it didn’t make the extras log)

have the alerts now ceased ?

In this moment I don’t have them, but they didn’t appear every minute so I don’t know if it’s definitely gone or not yet, I should wait some more time. Should I run the mbam (and MBanti-rootkit) again?

I run again MBAM and it found again the two files. I did the cleaning and the rebbot, run it again and this time it didn’t find anything. The alerts didn’t appear yet… let’s hope it’s clean now…
…update…
I just ran again also the MBanti-rootkit and it didn’t found anything (but the aswMBR continues to crash and doesn’t complete its task)

OTL killed the main driving file, but obviously not before it recreated the folder again… I need to think about how to kill that in one go.

On some systems AswMBR will fail to run for some unknown reason

If all is well tomorrow let me know and I will tidy up

Sorry for the delay but I was out of town for two days. No alerts showed up yet, so I think it should be all clear now.
Thank you very much for your help

Subject to no further problems

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean

A good workman always cleans up after himself so…The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:

Run OTL and hit the cleanup button. It will remove all the programmes we have used plus itself.

Clear Restore Points

Go Start > All Programmes > Accessories > System tools
Right click Disc Cleanup and select run as administrator
When it pops up at the first prompt select OK after it has done some calculations the tabs will appear
Select More Options tab
Press Sytem Restore and Shadow Copies Cleanup button

Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free programmes:

Malwarebytes.

Update and run weekly to keep your system clean

Download and install FileHippo update checker and run it monthly it will show you which programmes on your system need updating and give a download link

If you use on-line banking then as an added layer of protection install Trusteer Rapport

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system and to keep them updated.
