I have never used one of these forums before so bear with me…for the past two days every time I connect to the net AVAST tells me I have a Trojan Horse but the only option I have is to disconnect - it doesn’t delete it and it sure hasn’t protected my computer because I have the Resident Protection and it got it anyway. How do I get rid of this thing? ???
Disconnect is the option for WebShield, i.e., this provider stop downloading of that particular file of the webpage that is infected.
You can’t repair or delete the file because WebShield blocks it even before it is downloaded, avast! protect you and the file is not even saved in your HDD.
You don’t cause you never had it in the first place ;). Avast! Webshield provider like what Tech said will just detect the virus from the web and block it before it enters your PC. It’s like a firewall blocking a intruder if you ask me. When you click on Abort Connection (or disconnect) your just confirming the disconnection between the virus and your PC.
