I have ticked the translucent effect box but it does not change any thing, i am using windows xp, help needed.
Don’t expect that such effects, as it depend into your video card, monitor and resolution.
Anyway, better will be boot before testing… 8)
Yes it does change a lot of things but it’s not that obvious… you have to take a better look at those skins. Not all of them have translucent feature effects inside…
Try bionic-avast! skin for example and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Try it without the translucent effect turned on, and then try it with it… each switch requires you to restart avast! (or reboot your system if you don’t know how to turn avast! off and on back again)

Spot the transparency enabled example… you’ll see that you can see through some parts of the skin when it’s enabled.
