I’m trying to help a friend…he had Norton Antivirus and we found several worms/viruses that it took care of. It could not delete the Trojan. He took it to a local computer shop. They uninstalled the Norton and installed Avast. We keep getting Avast pop-ups saying everything is infected…Excel, pinball, photo shop, etc. In our confusion we kept clicking on “delete”, thinking that it was trying to delete the Trojan worm. and I think we deleted programs we never intended to. Now we are afraid to turn off the computer for help, in case everything gets deleted. Is there a way to reverse the actions? I checked the recycle bin and there is nothing in it. Have we ruined the computer?

Can you schedule a boot-time scanning?
Start avast! > Right click the skin > Schedule a boot-time scanning.
Select for scanning archives.
Boot.
Maybe you are infected with the new Polip virus.

Can you give us the name of this virus? Try to run a virus scan in safe mode
