Hello. I am having problems. When i try to install cerain software i recieve the message C:Docume(program) and, underneath, C:\program files|Alwil…aswMonVd.dll an installable virtual device driver failed Dll initialization. choose close to terminate the application. I used the avast remover from this website the other day, so i don’t know why my computer is still going on about it. So, if anyone can help me destroy all traces of avast, i’d be much obliged.

Yes, my problem is that i recieve the error message above whenever i try to run or install certain types of file. I don’t know why, but from what i can gather it might be something to do with the registry. I was looking through windows system32 config nt and i can find no reference to avast, but i’m not sure. Basically, i don’t have a clue and i would like to stop getting the error message about the virtual machine.
- Uninstall avast from Control Panel first.
- Boot.
- Use Avast Uninstall for complete uninstallation.
- Boot.
If it fails, remove all other antivirus you have installed before and try again.
If it fails, install avast again and then follow the way above (this is a known way to get rid of a bad installed application: install again, correct the installation, uninstall).
