here is a picture of the error message.

Hi Yachiru,

Problems with the boot device. The installer won’t run, critical stop error, see here:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324103
You first have to fully uninstall the one to be able to install the other(s).

Solution for the STOP 0x0000007B error notification when you have more than one SATA controller in AHCI or Raid mode:
Load drivers (pressing F6 at start Windows setup) for all controllers (two drives two raid drivers), even if for a controller where there are no disks connected,

So you mean I can’t install windows xp on a pc with windows vista? :o

Of course you can.

Tons of tutorials out there. Here is one. http://apcmag.com/how_to_dual_boot_vista_and_xp_with_vista_installed_first__the_stepbystep_guide.htm

okay now I have a new problem about XP. Last night I can run windows xp, this morning I got a new problem about NTLDR. I already tried using EasyBCD on windows vista.

You need to copy the ntldr file from your Vista root partition to your XP root partition, that should do it.

oh thanks to all of you! I got windows XP working now. ;D

You’re welcome.
