Hello there, My Avast! pro is saying it expired although I’ve paid for a year’s service on 02/03/2011. Is this a bug of some sort? Any help would be appreciated.

Is the date and time correct on your machine?
Did you just install the software or upgrade? What version and product are you using?

The date is correct on my computer and I am using version 6.0.1000, I also didn’t install anything new. Thank you for your time.
Try rebooting and see if the problem is fixed.
Also, you are using an outdated version of Avast. The current version is 6.0.1125.
If after a reboot the problem still exists, try an Avast Repair:
XP Users:
- Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > Avast Antivirus.
- Scroll down and choose Repair function in the pop-up window.
- Reboot.
Vista & Win7 Users:
- Control Panel
- Programs & Features
- Uninstall a Program > Select Avast Antivirus
- Click the Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair
- Click Next and follow.
- Reboot.
