well i wish.,i just really wanna see you guys smash down those expensive antivirus out there.,just like kaspersky who blew me away.,its just so good.,
hey!does the avast team is trying to develop Avast 6?are you guys?not that we know, i think that is a bit early since avast 5 is not a year old yet..... but they are working on avast 5.1 that is planned to be released late this year
There will be a long journey toward version 6…
Step by step. First 5.1.
Well avast isn’t like other software companies that have a new version number every year, to basically attract (fool) more people to pay to upgrade to the latest version when to all intents and purposes it is more looks (bells and whistles) than greatly changed functionality.
Consider this, I started using avast almost six and a half years ago and it was in version 4.x then and now we are only on avast 5. However, the program over that time has changed massively and giving much greater functionality and protection, yet only one major change in the User Interface with the new avast5 UI.
If Avast software were like other companies then we would be on avast11 or there about, so they haven’t used the marketing ploy of changing whole point version numbers at the drop of a hat or every year. Yet there have been major changes in that time that many would consider warrant a whole point increase in version number rather than a 0.1 increase.
There will be avast! 5.1 and 5.2 and 5.3 and 5.4 and 5.5 etc etc. It’s still a looooong way for version 6. But this doesn’t mean avast! will lag behind others in any way. avast! is known to incorporate huge improvements in minor version changes where others would release same thing under a new year number. So for avast!, going from 5.0 to 5.1 is pretty much the same as for other antiviruses going from 2010 to 2011 version.
