Yeah, I know its just a DL number stat, probably padded by the recent update, but still…1st time I’ve ever seen Avast! pass AVG on Cnet’s “most popular” downloads.
edit: LOL, typing AVG got my post quarantined for approval ;D

Woah! I’ve never seen this before!
Usually AVG is at the top, and we finally passed them. ;D
Let’s hope it stays this way. 8)
But before we hope that, let’s hope it works - especially the update installer which is on 0 out of 2 on my machine since avast7 came out. If it stays like that a lot will drop out pretty soon.
I hope so too seeing how for me Avast is so much better than AVG
I got an idea to keep avast! on top. Just keep downloading it on virtual computers!!!11
And that would accomplish what ??? besides giving you something to do. ;D

I was going to create a new thread for this accoplishment
Good thing I scanned the whole General Topics page

About time we passed that s…y antivirus!
Please watch your language…!!
Cnet’s “most popular” list doesn’t say much in my opinion.
What counts is that Avast! continues to deliver high quality products,
which I believe they will. That’s what counts.
If we were to talk about numbers, we should look at the size of Avast!'s
userbase which I know is pretty good.
Perhaps someone can provide the numbers?

Oh it matters, though. For marketing, its great. That little list is a go-to for many people.
Not disagreeing that it is no bearing of quality, though.

@Gargamel360:
I see your point concerning Cnet’s “most popular” list and the marketing aspect of it.
And thank you for the link, never saw that link before.
Impressive numbers I have to say.
Coungratilations Avast. 8)
That is so neat! HAPPY! HAPPY! HAPPY!
Keep up the excellent work, Avast!
One picture can say more than 1000 words…

The negative point in this photo is the lower number on 2011 compared to 2010…
We know that the sample computer set in this particular statistic is, somehow, not precise.
