Yeah, I know its just a DL number stat, probably padded by the recent update, but still…1st time I’ve ever seen Avast! pass AVG on Cnet’s “most popular” downloads.

Usually AVG is at the top, and we finally passed them. ;D
Let’s hope it stays this way. 8)
But before we hope that, let’s hope it works - especially the update installer which is on 0 out of 2 on my machine since avast7 came out. If it stays like that a lot will drop out pretty soon.

I got an idea to keep avast! on top. Just keep downloading it on virtual computers!!!11

Cnet’s “most popular” list doesn’t say much in my opinion.
What counts is that Avast! continues to deliver high quality products,
which I believe they will. That’s what counts.
If we were to talk about numbers, we should look at the size of Avast!'s
userbase which I know is pretty good.
Perhaps someone can provide the numbers?
Oh it matters, though. For marketing, its great. That little list is a go-to for many people.
Not disagreeing that it is no bearing of quality, though.
