Hi all i buy ( Avast 5.0 internet security ) last week
I have not be to get no update for 8days now plz help on fix this ???
The key tell me it is invalid on all the time i go on the update box
im run windows 7 64-bit
hm :o seen i post my update not work today weth the Pictures
my 2 PC have be update 4 mins an go lol at is fast ty avast for fix it fast i have not be to update 8days
i hop the update keep work is time but i what to know why it was not let me update why it stop update an
tell me my key was invalid thx.
1) Uninstalled - Avast Internet Security : 5.0.418 2) Run the Avast Uninstall Utility from Safe Mode : http://www.avast.com/en-gb/uninstall-utility 3) Delete the Alwil Folder from Program Files ( Note: You will need to show - Hidden Files and Folders ) 4) Reinstalled - Avast Internet Security 5.0 : 5.0.447
If You Did All 4 Steps … Then … Think you could be right :-\ … Think there might be something wrong with your Licence File :
I know that others have had problems with the Licence Files and Registering - Avast 5
I really think the only way of sorting this out would be for you to contact support :-\

2nd & 3rd Pictures Show … Not Sure! :-\ … Was you trying to put the Licence File in again?

As long as Avast 5 excepts the Licence File - & - Gives you the correct Expiration date…
You only need to put the Licence File in - Just Once - Into each computer that you have Avast 5 Internet Security installed on.
You Bought… Avast 5 Internet Security … 1 Year - 3 Computers So…
Computer 1 … You Install - Avast 5 Internet Security … Put The Licence File In That Computers - Avast 5
Computer 2 … You Install - Avast 5 Internet Security … Put The Licence File In That Computers - Avast 5
Computer 3 … You Install - Avast 5 Internet Security … Put The Licence File In That Computers - Avast 5

You have NOT been getting - Virus Definition Updates
And…
When you’ve been trying to update your definition updates Manually… That’s when you’ve been getting told that your licence file is Invalid :o
Bad news guys is back update bug :o the update not let me do it tell me the license for this product is invalid

Uninstalled - Avast Internet Security : 5.0.447 :
Run the Avast Uninstall Utility from Safe Mode :
Delete the Alwil Folder from Program Files (alwil avast in it i delete the one was in the hidden files and folders be for i reinstalled the next update)
Reinstalled - Avast Internet Security 5.0 : 5.0.454
==== to see if at avast update ( Avast Internet Security 5.0 : 5.0.454 ) it has not fix the license key invalid

Uninstall avast from Control Panel (if possible). If, for any reason, you can’t run it, try booting in Safe Mode and doing it from there. Anyway, boot after that.
Run the avast! Uninstall Utility saved on 1. If, for any reason, you can’t run it, try booting in Safe Mode and doing it from there. Anyway, boot after you’ve run it.
Install avast! using the setup saved on 2. Boot.
Register your free copy or add the license key for Pro.

( Avast 5.0 antivirus internet security ) firewall to work
I know that you’ve recently done a Full Restore of your OS … 7 64bit
But Just A Few More Questions…
1) Did your computer come with any Free Trials of security software? ( Example… Norton or McAffee … etc.)
2) Have you installed any other security software on your computer? ( Example… MBAM, Norton, PC Tools … etc. )
3) What security was you using before… Avast 5 Internet Security Suite?
4) Is there any chance that your computer could be infected?

i have redone my PC so is what im use now in list 2 but be for i redone my PC i had ( Lavasoft AD-Aware 2010 ) and ( kaspersky Internet Security 2010 trial ( not like kaspersky at all so i like avast best one i have use for gameing an it seens i have be useing the ( free avast 4.8 ) for an long time it was the best one for my PC gaming)

If there is something actually wrong with your Licence File … I’m afraid only support is going to be able to fix that

I don’t really like Registry Cleaners - or - Any kind of cleaners really :-[
But sometimes it is necessary to clean something out that is causing problems :
My Suggestion Is… 1) Download - & - Install … CCleaner : http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ ( Note: Green Button … For Latest Version Of CCleaner ) Note: Make sure you Un-Tick the Yahoo Toolbar during the Installation of CCleaner. 2) Uninstall - Avast Internet Security 3) Run the Avast Uninstall Utility from Safe Mode : http://www.avast.com/en-gb/uninstall-utility 4) Delete the Alwil Folder from Program Files ( Note: You will need to show - Hidden Files and Folders ) 5) Use CCleaner - With Caution! … Please See My * Note Below! 6) Reinstall - Avast Internet Security 5.0 - 5.0.462 : http://www.avast.com/en-gb/download-software#tab2

I would suggest you Un-Tick all the boxes for… Example IE, Firefox, Adobe etc.
And…
Just leave… Windows Temp Files - Ticked!

Once You’ve Reinstalled - Avast 5 Internet Security Suite … Don’t Try To Open It Straight Away! : Instead… 1) Wait For Your Hard Drive Light To Completely Settle Down. 2) Restart Your Computer! 3) Wait For Your Hard Drive Light To Settle Down Again. 4) Open Avast 5 Internet Security Suite 5) Insert Your Licence File
Then go off and browse the web or something :-\ Just for about 10 minutes… To let Avast settle in 6) Run - Full Scan You’re All Done! 8)
