Hi! Avast Passwords Auto Fill Suddenly Not Working :o

Hello! :o

I didn’t change anything since yesterday, but suddenly today Avast Passwords Extension Icon has a red exclamation point and when I click it, it says:

“Hmm… Something’s not right
Avast Passwords requires Avast antivirus to work. Make sure Avast antivirus is running and try again. Don’t have it? Download it for free here”

Yes, my antivirus is working fine and I can access my passwords and copy-paste via the Avast interface.

  1. Already updated Avast Antivirus to the latest version (I use Avast Premium Security, and I also use Premium/paid passwords)
  2. Already tried restarting my PC
  3. Already tried un-installing and re-installing the extension

:o *Note: I’m using Brave browser

Still no luck.

What to do next? :-\

UPDATE:

This is only happening in BRAVE Browser… it’s working fine in Chrome.

I have gone to the BRAVE forum and found that others are experiencing the same.

I will therefore await solutions from their end instead, and will circle back here if needed.

I’m having the same issue. Not working on Brave and Edge, only on Chrome.

Same here with the Secure Browser, works on Chrome, and Firefox! Just started today.

Nice to know that the extension doesnt work with all browsers. But when you want to change your browser, you have to resave all your passwords first, right? Or how did you receive to change it without any inconvenience? thank you for your help!

Did you try to open the sidebar menu where all passwords are saved? Maybe that could help? ::slight_smile:
