Hiding Anti-Theft

Hello all,

One of my colleague had his phone stolen so I am currently double checking the configuration of my superb app.

Unfortunately, I found several things that I do not like anymore :

  • I can rename the Anti-Theft app (even by reinstalling it)
  • The app is visible on the application list (in parameters => applications)
  • I can uninstall very easily the app (10s search and 10s operation without having to enter a pin code or so on)
  • With the new Avast GUI, we can instantly see that the apps is existing.

As a result, I am wondering if the app is still a good defense versus a phone robber as he can see the app and install it very easily and before I have the time to do something.

Are my Avast! apps properly configured or are the apps not as useful as I through?

If you use a custom launcher like e.g. Nova Launcher, you can hide it in the settings!
Even you can change the Name and the Icon displayed.
