Hiding of exclusions

I just installed avast on my daughter’s computer (WinME), but it keeps detecting a keylogger I installed (Perfect Keylogger). It wouldn’t let the keylogger load at bootup, so I added the entire folder to the exclusion list. This worked great.

But, when I did a full system scan, the excluded list came up at the end, telling me that it couldn’t scan the files because they are excluded. I was hoping that the excluded list could be hidden completely. My daughter isn’t very computer proficient yet, but you know how kids are these days… one day she’ll be telling ME how to use my computer. I don’t want her to know about the keylogger - I want her to continue using the computer as she normally would, without changing any of her habits and if she happens to scan her computer for viruses, she’ll see the keylogger at the end.

So… can the exclusion list be hidden? If not, how can I make a suggestion for the next version?

Thanks,
Sunman

You can add a password to avast provider settings.
Right click the ‘a’ blue icon and set/change your password.
But I’m not sure that you won’t be able to see this ‘exclusion’ list elsewhere, for instance, in avast4.ini file :-[

If I set the password, will my daughter be able to do a manual scan of her computer when she wants (which I want), yet not see the exclusion list at the end?

Yes, she’ll be able to run scannings.
The only ‘locked’ part is the window with avast provider settings.
But if she is a ‘hacker’, she will discover more just browsing C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\Data\ folder.
Files like avast4.ini and avast4.mdb have a lot of these informations…
