High CPU usage in version 7.0.1456

So I have this problem (interface is Polish btw):

And after restarting avast shields:

During this I was downloading a few files through GOG.com downloader, but it also was happening before, when the downloader wasn’t even running.

Avast info:
avast! Free Antivirus

Virus definitions version: 120726-0

System info:
Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dualcore Processor 4000+ 2.10GHz
RAM: 4GB (3GB used)

I post it here to see if anyone else has this issue. If it’s already well known, and a similar topic already exists, I’d like to ask for some directions.

welcome to the forum. any other security programs installed like a third party firewall?

yo could try a clean installation of avast and see if that could help.
