High risk threats detected but unable to apply any actions at all.

Hello,

I recently ran a full scan on my computer an a number of threats came up. I fixed about half of them but there were 7 threats left, all of the same nature saying and starting with “Process 2208 [mbamservice.exe] memory block 0x0000…, block size …” The problem is, there are no actions for me to even apply to TRY to fix these problems. My limited IT knowledge prompted me to think that maybe this these trojans embedded themselves onto hardware but is that even possible?

Please help! I’m very worried because i know there is a security breach within my computer because i can’t even manually start up my basic windows security and the windows firewall as well! Something is blocking its process…

Anyways, here’s a list of the 7 trojans causing these 7 threats of process 2208.

Win32:SdBot-HBF [Trj]
Inject-AEP [Trj]
Agent-AOXC [Trj]
Reveton-AO [Trj]
Crypt-MET [Trj]
Crypt-MSN [Trj]
Small-BTX [Trj]

If you need a screenshot showing that i can’t even apply any actions to fix these problems, do let me know!

Thank you!

Did you happen to be running a custom scan with scan memory ticked ? if so please untick the scan memory box and try your scan again as the memory scan seems to be picking up Malwarebytes definitions.

Hey craig,

Thanks for the reply, the second scan didn’t turn up anything. But as for the trojans, should i still be worried that they do still exist in my computer?

reason for process/memory block detection is the use of “scan memory” setting. this will give some weird scan results
DO NOT use the scan memory setting

if you search the forum you find lots of info why as this has been posted a million times

so to avoid problems, dont change the default scan settings if you do not know the result of doing it

mbamservice.exe belongs to Malwarebytes… you are detecting malwarebytes signatures loaded in memory
and you cant move/delete a process…it is not a file, so apply button dont work

Please help! I'm very worried because i know there is a security breach within my computer because i can't even manually start up my basic windows security and the windows firewall as well! Something is blocking its process....
if you think you are infected, follow the logs guide on top of the virus and worms forum section.. attach the logs an help will arrive

Thank you very much Craig and Pondus for all the help. i think we can close this case. (:
