Hijackthis log after .exe file.

Family member downloaded an .exe file (erweiterung.exe) and ran it. I’m sure it contains some kind of trojan. Anyways… here’s the log. As you can see… alraedy hard at work scanning. :stuck_out_tongue:

I do not see anything else worth mentioning in this HJT log … but I am no expert.
Please wait for someone else to comment.

The executable … erweiterung.exe … seems to be related to a Beagle infection or some other Win32 malware according to this google search through ScanDoo …
http://g.s.scandoo.com/search?hl=en&q=erweiterung.exe&btnG=Search

Again, please wait for other opinions.

Try a scan with DrWeb CureIT!

Hi nizzleforshizzle,

You do not seem to have any software firewall active. This could put your OS at risk, install one.
I agree with the analysis of CharleyO, and a DrWebCureIt scan would be helpful as FwF suggests,
I would also include a full scan with MBAM downloadable from here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam/program/mbam-setup.exe
Also check this file at virustotal:
O23 - Service: Microsoft security update service (msupdate) - Unknown owner - e:\windows\system32..\svchost.exe (file missing) because it is running from system32 which is suspicious;
that is all,

polonus

Thanks for the help so far guys. Thought I would post another Hijackthis log from today. This is after a restart… ect.

Hi

Check this uploading to virustotal.com:

Service: Microsoft security update service (msupdate) - Unknown owner - e:\windows\system32..\svchost.exe (file missing)
File Missing
When a file is missing, you should always have HijackThis fix the item. MBAM flagged this as well,

polonus

Thanks for the replies. I dual boot my computer and this is a hijackthislog from vista… from what I can see it looks pretty messed up… lot of missing file stuff.
