How do I see if theres something suspicious? I mean does the program tell
me or is it all up to myself to check?

If you are uniexperienced at using Hijackthis it is unadvised that you try any cleaning measures yourself as you can seriously damage your windows Installation of your PC if you accidentally delete the wrong thing there are Many people on this board who know how to Decipher information in the logs, if you don’t wish to post here there are many other forums you can post to or you can post it on this website-

HiJackThis is a data gathering tool used for analysis, it doesn’t do any analysis.
Whilst the auto-analysis offered at the link given by Justin is infinitely better than a user without experience it too is fallible and on occasion reports things as bad when they aren’t and good when they aren’t so it should be used for guidance only.
Check out the suspect/unknown entries using google on the file name, etc.
Lets put it differently you shouldn’t be running hijackthis as a matter of routine, but because you have some suspicions that something isn’t right, or rather wrong with your system.
If this is the case you should ask about what it is that is making you suspicious as banging out a hijackthis log without some background information can be less than helpful.
There’s nothing special I’ve noticed, but I mean you never know. Just thought I’d run a scan and check, and I haven’t
deleted anything and that wasn’t really what I had in mind either since I know myself I’m a new user. But is it possible
to paste the result here and let someone just read through it quickly? (Or is it better to send it via the link Justin posted?)
