HIPS Documentation?

I thought it would be worth the effort to start a new thread on this topic.
I realize it’s the old behavior shield revisited. The old “behavior shield” wasn’t any good.
What makes this (HIPS) any better than the old behavior shield?

Could we please get some documentation concerning HIPS?

I don’t get it why are they being so secretive about it again. Just like with Behavior Shield that turned out to be an useless thing: Very little was known about it and whenever we tried deliberately poking it with malware it did nothing…
