Hi!Please make it possible upon installation an option not to install HIPS at all. I don’t see any settings of your hips, so I can’t control it…don’t need it.
Moreover, I have HIPS from other vendor.Thanks.
hey simple start-controllpanel-add/remove programs scroll down to avast hit the remove button. then a scren will come up, from there hit add/remove components, uncheck hips reboot your system.if you would like to remove it.
The HIPS function is under the File System Shield > avastUI > Settings > Active Protection > File System Shield - Customize > Sensitivity, scroll down to Suspicious Behavior (HIPS) uncheck the two options.
Set it to high and only enable the first checkbox. That’s how I use it and haven’t got a single thing from it, but should be trigger happy on actual malware. Second checkbox involves everything from suspicious or potentially malicious behavior.
I have found this yesterday in gui and already disable it.
Don’t need hips from avast, cause I am using different hips.In any case this hips from avast not my cap of tea, because I don’t understand what these scrolling of sensitivity mean? where the settings ? (Private firewall in my case .
In my opinion not bad at all, much better that this in any case .)
I am asking the option to uninstall it through add/remove programs. When I click on “change” I don’t see the box with hips…
