Has anybody used hirens boot cd.?
Im thinking of using it but have heard it may contain some malware.

Malware? I don’t think so. Maybe some av detect it as a false positive as far I know.
Have its power and the features are explained in its website.

That depends on where you download it from.
Always best to get things from a reliable place or from the source.
it looks an amazing piece of kit to have around and i think it would be very useful.How many CDS does it use please.?

Make a bootable USB driver and load the .iso file 
please forgive me for not being very technically minded on these matters.USB driver.??
Also can the downloaded ISO be put on to a external hard drive.?

Post back your experiences, but take care about “what” you do with Hirens CD. Does not broke your system…
