what exactly have you tried? without knowing its hard to give any recommendations.

When I got it froze me out of using malware bytes my windows firewall and Avast. Some had luck with a system restore which I did but now my Avast is saying it’s not working (I have the big red x) I was thinking about just getting off what I need off the computer and wiping it to start over. Malware bytes is working but both my windows firewall is still down and Avast is still down.

I cant really advise on system restore problems while fighting a virus. Hopefully someone will step in and help you soon.

I personally dont recommend the use of system restore while fighting a virus, id only use it as a second to last resort, the last being format. But its never come to that for me while helping friends.

Since you have done a restore, have you tried a repair of avast?

If that fails, try an uninstall and a re-install of avast.

Perhaps one of those 2 ways will get avast working for you again.

For Firewall Repair Windows or use other External firewall its better that windows firewall.
For Avast re-install it or Use other Anti-virus and Scan PC first then Install Avast.
