I hope the full download will be more accessible so if one has a possible infected computer that one does want to connect a LAN just to download the application.

Bad movement from avast… I haven’t understand this way before (although you were saying that…), now that I’ve understood I’ll say it’s a wrong movement due to off-line installations.
Absolutely totally wrong, and as mentioned in the other place, a mistake in what was being suggested by the web design team, which will hopefully soon be corrected.
It has now been corrected, http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html back to what it was before where you can download the complete package.
The http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html web page has been corrected, so you can download the full file direct from the avast.com side, scroll down for your language version.
