Hi Everyone
When you click on Scan on the top toolbar, then " Scan for Network Threats " your main PC comes up and if you click on " Details " to expand it, you will find your PC 's Mac, Services, DNS name, and finally your INTERFACE. ( mine is Realtec PCIe GBE Family Controller )
Under Interface, you see your Mac, then a list of " IP " addresses one will be your PC.
THEN below that there is a list of IP address, One of them is " Google Diverter "
Can anyone explain why the google IP address there?
There is an IP below that and I think that is for your IPV6 protocol.
Thanks Eddy,
I have found the answer on this today, I started by going into - All Programs / Accessories / Command Prompt and typed in ipconfig .
This brings up all your Lan addresses, IPv6 address, Temp IPv6 address, Subnet mask, default gateway.
All these numbers correspond with the Avast numbers, basically it’s all your information relating to your Ethernet adapter Local area connection.
I think I was thrown well off track when I typed in one of these addresses listed on the Avast Interface after the Network scan.
and the google findings were not that accurate, basically nothing to do with “google diverter really” that was just a weak result of the searches.
Anyway it’s sorted now
cheers
