I have had similar problems on Win7-64 and Win 8.1-64

I quite like Avast and the idea of Home Network scans.
But HNS seems a bit ‘unfinished’ at the moment.

I got a warning …

“Your router is accessible from the Internet!”

But no justification for the warning.
No port numbers, no server greeting messages.

If I seek more information …
“The admin interface of your router is accessible from the Internet.”

I really doubt that.
No mention of a specific compromise.
No identification of the hardware/firmware.

I know two ports are forwarded elsewhere - I set them up.
After some work I know they trigger the messages.
But the HNS reaction is to just shout ‘PANIC’.

Below the ‘description’ and ‘solution’ are further warnings.
They look as if they might be part of the same problem.
On closer inspection they seem list other possible outcomes.
Probably just poor presentation but it lookls like scaremongering.

Perhaps legitimate port forwarding is being diagnosed incorrectly ?

I noticed a couple of broadly similar posts much earlier in 2015.

Any chance that the warnings can be more informative so we waste less time ?

Thanks.

EDIT: Using HNS from version 10.4.2233 Avast free 2015.
