Minor glitch which probably can only be sorted from my end!
I normally run Avast free Antivirus once a day and sometimes run Home Network Security as well.
Recently, I have been told me the latter scan cannot be completed, to try again later, where I am given the same information about the second scan.
The Smart Scan runs normally and finds everything in order.
Try the latest released version of avast (2016), https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=178580.0.
Seems to have sorted the problem as network threats are marked with the “correct” tick!
However, I have been told there are performance issues,UU and also outdated software on my system.
These conclusions were also mentioned on my previous version of Avast.
Is it sensible to use “Resolve all” or can this action ever lead to problems in the future?
Yes, avast 2016 has been officially released 2016 11.1.2241 (same as beta build RC3)
Being told there are performance issues and actually experiencing them are two different things.
As for the Software Updater, all of mine are in the green.
I wouldn’t click Resolve all, this would try to update all those out of date entries, but I don’t think it should have any future impact.
I would first reboot if you haven’t already done so and see what it says then try the Refresh option at the bottom of the page. If that remains click on the effected item/s and that will expand them to show the version. Confirm that is what you have and what is the actual version on the programs website.
