Am using Avast 7.0 on Lion and my Little Snitch is alerting me to an attempt of “host” trying to connect to 8.8.8.8 on UDP port 53.
Is this Avast doing this, as I just installed it and have never seen this alert before?
host is a utility that resolves hostnames to IP addresses which is a standard part of Mac OS X. It is used in our setup script, so it may be avast!.
