Hello guys!
I’ve just noticed that there’s no more sound when I hover my mouse on the buttons on the user interface of avast unlike before. I opened the Windows sound settings, and it is intact, it’s not been changed. But when I tested the hover sound, there’s no sound. The other sounds are ok. But when I play the hover file in avast folder in program files, it is playing.
Any idea?

Does this happen with every skin? Did you try a different one?
Yes, I did try different skins, still no hover sound.
I have this exact same problem, I’m using vista.
I tried reinstalling avast, re-applying the sounds manually and everything but still the hover sound doesn’t do anything, I can play the WAV file fine, but not in avast.
Any solution?
I still have this problem.
All sounds appear in the vista sound scheme menu, all sounds work after I manually applied them EXCEPT for the hover sound. If I play the .wav file with media player it plays, If I press play in windows sound scheme I get nothing.
Also when I open or close avast I get the windows “ding” sound even though there are no sounds asigned to open or close avast.
blazein, maybe a problem with version 4… I don’t think they will give it any priority as version 5 is in the end of its development. It should be released in few months.

Why not? Did you disable them?
Nope just none of them work, it only happens on one of my Vistas.
Isn’t it a hardware problem?
Can other sounds be reproduced? Does any sound work in this computer?
Yes everything else works as it should I can’t even play the avast sounds in Windows Sound Schemes. I’ve uninstalled in reinstalled

Can you change the sounds? Right click the ‘a’ blue icon > Program settings > Sounds > Settings
Browse to avast set of sounds. No one works?
