My scan says there are 3 infected files but it won’t be over for a long time. Is there a way I can check the logs to see what it is without stopping the scan?
What scan are you running?
The answer is not to my knowledge.
As they say “patience is a virtue”…which I have none of. ;D
So why can’t “hurry the flip up” be a virtue ? …something to ponder. 
Scans can run 30 minutes to an hour at typical most.
Another point that you should know - when makes a detection it increases sensitivity (more thorough) to a degree, so the remainder of the scan would take longer.
You can’t look at logs from within the scan as they aren’t displayed until the scan completes. There is a possibility that you could open the text log for that scan and see what has been appended at the bottom of the log. Then again I don’t know if it might be locked because it too would be in use.
