I posted what I thought was a new post and it seems to have just disappeared.
profile > show posts
Have you gone into your profile - click on the Profile Info > Show Posts.
If it isn’t there then it is likely to have been eaten by a forum bug. This can end up eating the post when you click Post or Preview.
I use a firefox add-on Form History, this saves data input into text fields, that can be recovered.
I have downloaded Form History and it’s just awaiting a reboot. Thanks for the link. It will work across many forms and take the anxiety out of the equation. I’ll mark this solved.

It is a very handy add-on whilst this forum software bug can eat posts, a real pain when you have spent time compiling your post. Especially if, like me your not a touch typist
