How can I get it to take infections to quarantine automatically?

HI,

I have the Free 60 day Home edition to try and I have been succesful in finding iframe and other Trojans that my free AVG 8.5 and Malwarebytes does not find on my XP box.

Problem is when i want to get it to scan the whole drive and I need to go away, when i come back it has the "found a viris’ panel and it stays there until I tell it to take file to quarantine.

How can i get it to do this so it finishes the drive while I am away rather than sit there.

Thanks

oz

Version 5 will allow automated actions for free.

I second the motion to Tech. The user needs to configure on how avast will handle the infected files. But it will be best if avast has it as default setting and knows what to do to the files( delete, move to chest, repair, etc.). Like me, I do not know much about malware. I do not know what to do once I have an infected files. Since the default setting in avast is move to chest, everytime I get infected, my action will be always to move it to chest.

I think, I should write this one in wishlist.

I have mine set to ask as the first action, I want to see what it’s flagging before it does anything.

I have responded to your post on the Wishlist as this is already set by default for the user.
