They don’t just look for malware but weaknesses, etc, that could leave you vulnerable.

However, in that form I would suggest giving a link back to this topic and a link to Virus Totals results and seek a manual review of the site.
The VT site is doing an on demand scan and Avasts Web Shield is a live on-access scanner, so isn’t part of the VT scan for sites.

I believe so, but like Avast the Virus Definitions are updated and distributed to users in the regular virus definition updates. Rather than wait uses can use the manually update check function.
