How can I permanently disable the avast screen saver scan?
If my PC is in idle state, the screen saver scan always run. How can I disable this annoying ballast?
If the screensaver runs, you must have set it as the current screensaver in Windows.
So to stop it, just set some other.
The situation: if my PC is in idle state, something drain my cpu resources.
I logged the running processes, and the “offender” program is the avastsvc.exe
So, I haven’t any scheduled scan in avast-only the screen saver can run this background scan. What else?
But, I don’t use the avast screen saver. I use bubbles screen saver. But the avast screen saver runs nevertheless-it seems so.
How can I disable all of the scheduled and background scans of Avast?
Right click the desktop and select personalise/properties
Select screensaver and change it from Avast to something else

A scheduled scan isn’t linked to the screen saver they are completely different.
You decide which scan it is that you want to do (avastUI > Security > Antivirus > Scan Now), Quick, Full or Custom, select that scan and click the More details text (see images, click to expand). Now click the Settings text, you have the various settings and you are looking for Scheduling.
Is there a tick in special scans box, if so remove it
