How can I remove Password protected files not checked by Avast.

I recently uninstalled Avast and downloaded AVG but after a few days I uninstalled AVG and went back to Avast.

Since I started using Avast again I get a long list of files that cannot be checked ( The message is “Archive file is password protected 42056”.)

I have no idea what the files are and have nothing password protected except specific accounts like forums, personal accounts etc)

Some of the files appear to be possible javascript and/or adobe.

any ideas how I can get rid of this and allow all files to be scanned.

it is not necessary to scan all files.....and files that can not be scanned are just that....it does not mean they are infected avast is just reporting that it could not scan the file(s) and the reason why...no more no less

many programs protect there files with passswords, usually security programs but also others

if you search the forum, you find this has been asked a million times in here…

You can remove them from the reports though. Check the reports settings.
