igor: the list may be fine… but I do technical work and I’d much rather see an actual error message displayed than have some software filtering the errors for me. Not to mention, I’m not a fan of “dumbing down” software.
But there is no error message.
OK, it might be in some cases (you may get unresolved DNS for some sites) - but the main purpose of the SiteCorrect is to prevent you from visiting fake sites that try to take advantage of the user making a typo while typing the URL. So if you disable SiteCorrect, you won’t get any error message - you just land on a different web page than you (most likely) wanted, possibly without noticing.
@ Igor
I rather think that the OP is talking of any browser or server error message (if they would ever get one) than an error message from avast SiteCorrect.
Personally I doubt there would be any errors from the browser for a typo on the domain name address, usually it would be the DNS error, etc. if no domain of that name. But the typo squatters sites would sail right through without a browser or DNS error and SiteCorrect disabled.
