how can i turn off avast?

Hi

I would like to ask – when I play games (offline) on my p.c I want to close avast to get abetter performance for my RAM and CPU. How can I close avast? I’ve notice that if I click on: “stop on access protection”, avast is still working in the backround. Is there away to shut it off completely for aperiod of time?

Tom, the services in background won’t harm your game, won’t use RAM. I’ll let as they are.
If you don’t want even that avast update, you should configure avast to update (program and virus database) to manual (and not automatic). 8)
