How come HouseCall show a virus and Avast couldn't

I am using the latest Avast Home edition v4.6.623 until the pre-release version becomes final

And I am using the latest patch 0514-0, see the link below and explain why HouseCall show a virus and Avast couldn’t.

Or here, as you have the Sun JRE.

Delete the Java cache and make sure avast! webshield is working: it catches this stuff before it goes into your browser and thence into the Java plug-in cache.

If avast doesn’t detect it, then send it in a password Zip file to virus(a)avast.com

Sorry I didn’t get back asap following all the instruction and the information you have given me thanks for your support, I am going to email the zip file to Avast Virus Lab team tonight when I get home from to investigate the file I have given them.

Hopefully I might get there feedback from the Avast Virus Lab team.

Thankyou for your information you have given me so I know what to do next time.

Thanks again

This is an old piece of malware, with several aliases.

Surely it must be in avast!'s defintions already?

I hope the problem is just that avast can’t remove it from the Java cache (in common with other anti-virus programs?)

That’s what I was thinking and I was hoping too, have to wait until I get home from work to send the zip the Avast Virus Lab Team
