Hi,
when I purchase avast, I was expecting it to be able to get rid of the malware, but it’s still there.
How come?

It is not malware but PUP = not virus / Possible Unwanted Program … crap that usually follow with freeware downloads
Avast PUP detection is default off exept for in boot scan, so if you want pup detection turn it on

You can try remove it with Malwarebytes and AdwCleaner

Why do I need to download other softwares to remove ‘istartsurf’ when I have bought avast subscription to do the job for me?

No security program have 100% detection…
If avast does not clear it, you have a option
And most users here have avast and malwarebytes installed…

Did you turn on PUP detection … did that remove it?
Did you try malwarebytes and/or AdwCleaner ?
Do you need help removing it?
