You can’t. I recommend using a desktop firewall then you can block access to specific applications.

avast isn’t a firewall and that task is one for a firewall.

So what is your firewall ?
What is your OS ?

Can you with the Professional Version? I really like Avast and I would hate to get something else.

I am just running avast at the moment. I had Norton 2007 but it seemed to bog everything down. i am running a brand new Hp Pavilion Notebook Dual Core AMD Pros. and 2 gigs or ram. So I know it’s not my system that is slow. I am running Vista 32bit.

Sorry I don’t under stand the question, the answer is the same, avast isn’t a firewall and that applies to the Pro version too, neither the Home or Pro block outbound connections or block applications from connecting, that is a job of your firewall (which is ?).

avast is developing a firewall but that is a little while off (no dates given).
