Decided to try Internet Security on Avast’s 60-day free trial. Things went wrong right away, mainly that Windows Media Center could no longer record TV programs. It seems AVAST replaced my Windows firewall with its own firewall or its own set of rules. There were a couple of other issues as well. After attempting to troubleshoot these issues unsuccessfully, I restored a System Image. Now, everything is working as it should, without Avast Internet Security.
Since the software is no longer installed on my PC how do I cancel the free trial so I don’t automatically get charged when the 60-day trial period is over? I couldn’t find a link for that on their website.
