I’m inquiring as to how I go about changing my registered e-mail address for my avast! Home Edition product? I had a brief look around the avast! homepage but I couldn’t find a log in area or anything I’d associate with my account settings.

Do you mean the email that you receive updates alerts?
If so, right click the icon, choose Program settings, Update (Basic), Details, Registration.
If you mean the email of forum registry, you need to click in your profile icon and browse for it into the forum settings.

I am referring to the e-mail address I submitted when registering an account with avast!. I tend to get updates to that e-mail address yes, so I figure we’re on about the same thing. However, I followed your instructions but it turns out that, that ‘Registration’ link is only available to the ‘Pro’ version–I’m running Home Edition.
The e-mail address I signed up with will be deleted soon so I need to organise a change in e-mail address before then I presume.
Any further ideas? :-\
You need not change the email address that you used when you registered the avast home version to have your key sent. When it comes time to re-register the Home version (14 months) you just enter your new email address and the key will be sent there.
There is no push updates with the home version so there shouldn’t be any communication requirement to that address. Updates with the home version are using the auto update function and not by email.
So the only action you need do is change the email associated with your forum registration using the Profile button that Tech mentioned.
