Hi all,
When Avast finds a trouble maker it recommends I put it in the “chest” which I do, but what do I do with them after they are in there? I don’t want them to stay anywhere in my computer.
Thank you,
Nain
Hi there, normally it’s recommend that you put the infected file into the virus chest. I suggest keeping the file in the chest for around a week or two to make sure your computer is running fine without the file. As long as the infected file is in the chest, the virus won’t do any damage towards your PC.
Leave the file in the chest for a week or two (it can do no harm from there) to ensure no adverse effect from being moved to the chest. Then scan the file again in the chest to ensure it is still detected as infected and if so delete it from the chest.
Thank you both,
Another problem solved by the pros! Thanks for being there.
Hugs, Nain
Glad we could help.
