Thanks for your help. i followed your instructions…removed all of the java stuff, out of curiosity why was there so many and what’s the point of it? and used all of the other cleaning things you recommended. i’ll go to sleep now and check again tomorrow to see how it’s all going…

If you are referrng to lots of java, you probably had a number of updates/patches. each one, within a series fixes a vulnerbility on the previous. A jaava update does not remove the old ones and Sun doesn’t provide that info, so people end up with many versions. It a sripting program used for games,graphics etc.
Did the repair of avast do the trick?
Did you run Rougue remover and did it find anything?
and the rogue thing did find something which it managed to remove as well. it seems like the trojan was successfully removed and i’m unaware of any other problems.
