How do I install a Renewed Subscription? Help.

I renewed my subscription using discount coupon with Digital Rivers. I downloaded the file for Avast!4 Pro from Alwil site. Starting to install, question comes up:“Change” or “Uninstall”. Which do I choose? This is obviously from the settings/control panel. I’d only double clicked on the file I’d downloaded and saved in My Downloads for the renewal. Does Avast! have to be uninstalled first and if so, is this the way to do it? I know I have to enter my new license key afterwards. (Using XP Pro SP2.)

You don’t have to re-install avast, just insert your new key into your existing program.

Thank you, Oldman. If all I have to do is insert my new license into the license key box, what about the download of the file? Should I have skipped that?Should I keep it,-delete it from My Downloads?-I have the original download, but naturally the program gets updated periodically, so I thought I ought to download on renewal.

You can keep it as you’ve already download it.
But, yes, you could have skipped that too.
