How do I install Avast! DNM on SBS2003R2 Premium?

I don’t know much about SQL2005, probably just enough to be dangerous. I have an SBS2003R2 Premium server with SQL2005 installed. We need SQL2005 for an accounting package we use so Ifigured I would use it for the DNM as well. I installed an named SQL2005 instance (AVAST) set for Windows Authentication and set off trying to get DNM installed. I am hung up during the DNM install where it is asking me to specify the SQL server I want DNM to use. From reading it sounds like i should have setup the AVAST instance for “Mixed mode” authentication instead of “Windows Authentication.” How can I change it? From reading it also sounds like the “sa” account is disabled by default in SQL2005. How do I enable it and set a password?

Hi,

I’m a little late for the answer

But I’m hang a little further than you…

I made the same mistake as you and the only way I found going over it is to uninstall SQL Express 2005 (3 parts) and reinstall it.

There you can specify mixed mode authentication and you must specify a password for the SA account…

But now ADNM install still say me he “couldn’t locate SQL server XXX”… Perhaps because SA account is deactivated? Don’t know and still searching!

Regards,
Gerard.

Maybe, this is not the answer that you are waiting, but I think that is a good begin.
